The big UK supermarkets are in trouble, according to this Channel 4 News report.

So how do budget supermarkets like Aldi copy well-known brands?

Sainsbury’s is competing with the discount supermarkets like Aldi and Lidl in a price war. Sainsbury’s plans to invest £150 million in order to make price cuts.

Also, Sainsbury’s is dropping plans to open more shops.

However, this may not be the best plan.
